STYLISH COMFORT

THE CHALLENGE

When media tech pioneers Adslot approached Agero, they weren’t looking for just another office. They envisioned a creative sanctuary—a space unlike any other. Housed within a heritage-listed building, the challenge was to respect and preserve the architectural character while delivering a striking, future-forward workplace.

Agero faced the complex task of integrating self-supporting wall systems that were both modular and custom-designed. These systems had to comply with existing services layouts while showcasing uncommon, sustainable materials such as oriented strand board (OSB) and plywood—many prefinished and left raw to highlight their texture. The goal was a sculptural experience, where walls, joinery, and form became part of the gallery-like ambience.

Adding to the complexity:

– Adslot wanted an office that felt more like an art installation than a commercial fitout.

– The team wanted natural airflow and soft, non-direct lighting suited to a tech environment.

– Every element needed to be bespoke, with minimal disruption to the heritage shell—no traditional partitions, no off-the-shelf solutions.

THE Solution

Partnering with a visionary client like Adslot was a highlight for Agero. Together, they embraced complexity and crafted a space that redefined the modern workplace. Agero engineered innovative ventilation channels that enabled natural air movement, tackling one of the project’s biggest budget challenges—air management—without compromising on form or function. Rather than layering in artificial light, the team used a system of reflective and uplighting techniques to reduce glare and enhance the working environment. This attention to user comfort extended into the choice of materials—OSB panels and other raw finishes not only aligned with Adslot’s aesthetic but provided sustainable, low-impact solutions that have kept the space feeling fresh and contemporary.

Every corner was carefully considered. Custom wall systems were meticulously assembled like functional art, doubling as spatial dividers and visual statements. Minimal intervention with the original building fabric meant the heritage elements stood proud while the new insertions harmonized beautifully.

Today, the space is a talking point in the creative and tech industry—unique, inventive, and enduring. More than just an office, it’s an investment in culture, creativity, and the future of work.
