A ground floor café, stripped back and rebuilt as a professional office - inside one of Geelong's landmark commercial addresses.

The Challenge

The ground floor tenancy at 60 Brougham Street had spent its life as a café – kitchen infrastructure, servery counters, food-grade plumbing and extraction all built for hospitality, not office work. Turning it into a professional workplace for Westvic Staffing Solutions meant more than a standard fitout.

Every piece of that food-service infrastructure had to be stripped out and reworked before an office floor could even begin to take shape, all within a well-known, multi-tenant Geelong office building where the finished space needed to hold its own.

The Solution

Agero delivered the project as a full design and construction solution, managing the conversion from café to office as one continuous process rather than a demolition job followed by a separate fitout.

Café-specific services were removed and the space rebuilt around Westvic’s needs as a staffing and recruitment provider, a functional, professional office in a location that previously had nothing to do with office life.

The result is a ground floor space that now reads as a natural fit inside 60 Brougham Street’s commercial tenancy mix, with no trace of the café it once was.
